Onshore Visa
The Onshore refugee visa can be applied by those already living in Australia and wanting to apply for an asylum or protection. To be able to apply for this visa, you must satisfy the Refugee definition as set by the Refugee Convention and also meet up all the Complementary protection criteria as given in the Migration act 1958. The onshore refugee visa is popularly known as Protection visa subclass 866. With a Protection visa subclass 866 you will be allowed to stay in Australia permanently while you can work or study as well in Australia.
